What is ASF?

The Adaptive Sports Foundation is a 501©3 non-profit organization that offers recreational opportunities for people with special needs. ASF students live with disabilities ranging from relatively mild learning disabilities to more severe disabilities such as quadriplegia, autism and traumatic brain injuries. The ASF serves approximately 1000 disabled children and adults each year. The ASF Winter Program includes recreational skiing and snowboarding programs for disabled individuals and a large Wounded Warriors event for injured US troops. The ASF also supports a very successful competitive race team for physically and cognitively challenged athletes. The ASF Summer Program includes paddling, windsurfing, fishing, cycling, fitness training, and waterskiing as well as six Wounded Warrior programs. ASF volunteers donate approximately 30,000 hours of service and provide over 3,000 lessons annually.  For more information on ASF programs, contact info@adaptivesportsfoundation.org.
